Welcome to PEPE - Argentina, a cherished gem in the heart of Provincia de Buenos Aires, where the aroma of freshly baked pizza wafts through the air at Eduardo Costa 996. This beloved pizza restaurant has carved out a niche in the local culinary scene, offering a delightful taste of Argentina’s unique take on this classic dish.
Deep-rooted in tradition, PEPE stands out for its rich history and authentic offerings that hold a special place in the hearts of its patrons. Reviewers like Henri Gerard emphasize the emotional connection many have to their pizzas, evoking nostalgic feelings reminiscent of home-cooked delights. The sentiment shared by Henri—that PEPE’s offerings might not replicate the thin-style pizzas typically found in New York—highlights the uniqueness of Buenos Aires’ pizza culture.
One of the standout dishes at PEPE is undoubtedly the fugazzetta with Roquefort cheese, praised by Hernán Plazas. This delightful pizza, loaded with caramelized onions, offers a perfect balance of flavors, showcasing both the savory and tangy notes beloved by cheese connoisseurs. The crust is celebrated not just for its taste but also for its impeccable texture, making each bite a delightful experience. The abundance of Roquefort transforms a familiar dish into something extraordinary, catering to fans of bold flavors.
Another noteworthy aspect of dining at PEPE is the welcoming, albeit cozy, ambiance. This emblematic eatery blends simplicity with charm, creating an intimate setting that invites guests to savor every moment. Ines M M aptly describes the space as small but full of character—perfect for those who prioritize quality over quantity in their dining experience. With affordable prices allowing two diners to enjoy a large pizza with drinks for under $40,000, this is a venue where satisfaction is ensured without breaking the bank.
As you delve into their pizza offerings, you'll find a menu that encapsulates both tradition and innovation, welcoming back regulars and enticing newcomers. With a commitment to excellent service, as noted by Diego Cosarinsky, the team at PEPE strives to ensure a delightful culinary journey with each visit. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, a stop at this pizzeria promises a memorable experience that celebrates the rich flavors of Argentine pizza.
In summary, PEPE - Argentina is not just a restaurant; it’s a slice of history, a hub of flavors, and a warm embrace for anyone who loves pizza. Make sure to visit and indulge in the unforgettable culinary creations that define this beloved establishment.

I have a personal relationship with this pizza. I have tried many pizzas in Argentina , as rude as the owners wife is, i am still brought back to when my Mother home made pizza was the hit for me. I am am enamoured with the pizza. I’m a New Yorker who loved the thin style. You won’t find that here!
